C3 Week Four Fantasy Wrap-up

The last couple of weeks have been weird ones for the NFL. The Panthers went from....well, Panthers to kittens. Maybe I'll be picking up a Panther tomorrow morning when I'm scheduled to pick up a black kitten from a friend. He's at least one of the two team colors, and I I'm taking name suggestions for the 8 week old lil tyke. It's a male, so leave a comment if you have a suggestion - no matter how odd it might be. ;)

Week Three C3 Fantasy Wrap-up and Contest Winner

Hey folks,

Here's hoping your fantasy team did as best as it could last week. Mine? I was busy and couldn't get to replace Arian Foster from my lineup. I lost by a little over a point. It was actually that late pass to Heath Miller in the 4th quarter that did it for my opponent. Meh.

Week 2 C3 Fantasy Wrap-Up and Contest Winner

Week two of the Inaugural CarolinaCatChronicles.com fantasy football league is in the books, and WOW what a finish to the fantasy circuit last night! If you had Darren Sproles, you're a happy GM this morning more likely than not. If you had Ahmad Bradshaw, probably the same - although I have him and had him on the bench, costing me a win, I picked him up simply because he's the unproductive Trent Richardson's backup and the far more explosive of the two back on a passing team in Indianapolis. Oh well, live and learn. At least I'm that much stronger for doing it, while ditching Bishop Sankey for being lost in a crowded backfield for now.

Week 1 C3 Fantasy Wrap-Up

Hey gang!

Well, the first week of the NFL (and of course, fantasy football) is behind us, and as always, there were a few surprises.

Who knew the Cardinals offense would look so explosive after QB Carson Palmer's bad preseason?

Who would have thought the Miami Dolphins would completely man-handle the Pats offense in the second half?

Who would have thought that Tom Brady of all QBs would have the lowest completion % of ALL starting QBs?

Are the Falcons that resurgent or was the home-field advantage the edge in their overtime win against the Saints?

And, best in MY book, who would have thought "Slow-Start" Ron would not only win on the road on opening day (a first for him as a Head Coach) and without Cam Newton? And that the defense looked to be in mid-season form?

Lots of other things to consider as well, such as the C3 standings.

Week 1 C3 FF Banter Thread

C3 Fantasy Football ballers, tis the season finally!  Tomorrow we get our first taste of NFL football, and our first fantasy football players could be on the field.  I'm excited, and I know you are too!  To me, one of the great parts of fantasy football is the friendly banter that comes with the territory.  It's fun football discussion with a little competitive edge.  I can confidently say that trash talk is an art.  I'm not talking about name calling, baseless vocal vomit.  No I'm talking clever, well-reasoned, just down right truthful trash talking.  Here's the place for it!  Let's use this thread to have fun, discuss, compare notes, and banter in the process.  It's the C3 FF TTC for some of you who love acronyms as much as I apparently do.  So have fun and discuss Week 1.  OPEN TO ALL FOUR LEAGUES!

Carolina Panthers: Fantasy Football Projections Week 1

We all know that this is the best time of the year because football is finally here! If football is back that means it is time to play Fantasy Football! What is there not to love about Fantasy Football? You get to pick your players, manage your team, and talk trash with your friends. This “sport” does a great job at building your pride.

C3 Fantasy League Corner: The Commish's Analysis of League Rucker by Rounds, 11-15

Here are the final five rounds in my CarolinaCatChronicles First Annual FFL Challenge. Keep in mind that the comments I make are relative to the draft positions vs. likely production instead of being a running commentary of how players relate on the field to their teams, unless I mention it specifically.

Keep in mind that at the END of most FFL drafts is where kickers and team defenses generally go.

I'll jump right to it, then!

C3 Fantasy League Corner: The Commish's Analysis of League Rucker by Rounds, 6-10

Hey, gang.

Since the post I made Sunday drew some positive interest from hard-core FFL GMs, I thought I'd go ahead and look at the "middle five" rounds of our own first annual CarolinaCatChronicles.com FFL draft.

C3 Fantasy League Corner: The Commish's Analysis of League Rucker by Rounds, 1-5

Howdy once more, folks. This particular post is partly for people who haven't had their league draft to see how a live draft recently went. Not a MOCK live draft; we were drafting our teams for real.
